Ilana practices as a curator, researcher and producer, exploring situations of public exchange and collective learning between practitioners working across expanded spatial contexts.
From 2018-2025 Ilana was the Artistic Director & CEO of Platform Arts, a contemporary art space on Wadawurrung Country in Geelong, where she initiated the Platform Lab national residency program from 2020-2024. She holds an MA (Art in Public Space from RMIT), and is a PhD candidate in the school of art, design, and architecture at Monash University.
